When creating a pay stub in SecurePayStubs, you can specify whether an employee was hired during the current year. This ensures their Year-to-Date (YTD) earnings and deductions are tracked correctly.

Steps to Indicate Hire Year

  1. Go to the Employee/Contractor Information section.
  2. Select whether you are creating a pay stub for an Employee or a Contractor
  3. Locate the checkbox or option labeled This employee was hired this year
  4. Enter the employee’s Hire Date in the required field (MM/DD/YYYY).
  5. SecurePayStubs will automatically start YTD totals from the hire date you provide.

Note: If the employee was hired earlier in the year, you can enter the exact date to maintain accurate YTD calculations.
